Flashback-October 2002

Jake=17 months old
Hannah=4 years old

Okay then...

Conversation with Jake tonight:

Jake: Dad can you give me a wedgie?

Me and John: What? (we both start to laugh)

Jake: No I am serious, I need a wedgie.

John: Okay. (John then proceeds to give him a great wedgie)

Jake: Ow, that kinda hurt, but I needed that. (he walks away)


Question for all of you,

Should we be worried?

Jake's last baseball game

The whole family came out to support Jake in his last game of the season. Jake enjoyed playing this year and it was really fun to watch. He's a pretty good player and he looks cute in his uniform (which I'm sure is a requirement in MLB).

I wonder if he would listen if I wrote a note telling him to clean his room?

I found out that Jake has his first little crush. This is the conversation that followed:

Jake coyly showing me his class picture:

Jake- this is C. (the girls he likes)

Me- she's cute, do you play with her at recess?

Jake- she chases me.

Me- Does anyone else chase you?

Jake- ( a little embarrassed) Yes.

Me- who?

Jake- these girls, and they like me.

Me- they do, well you're such a cute guy I can see why they want to chase you.

By now Jake was tired of my questions and a little red with embarrassment.


About a half hour later I find this note stuck to the computer.



It says,
"Keep off my binis (business)"
I have seriously had to resist teasing Jake about his new found attraction. It's been very hard.
