Summer '08: The Splash Pad

Before we moved we were able to just relax and enjoy the summer. We sold the house, the kids were out of school, all of our things were on a moving truck and we were staying in the "apartment." Having no major responsibilities or schedules made for a very relaxing month.







The city just completed this little splash area. On this particular day venders were setting up and getting ready for the local fair. There were more people than usual, but that didn't seem to phase Ella one bit. She walked to the middle of the center/venders and proceeded to spread out her towel just right so she could lay out. It was funny because I was watching her from afar and a few people had to step around her. I'm sure they were looking for her mother, but I didn't want to interrupt her. She's a funny girl.

Trampoline Fun

Ah yes, when the weather in Seattle gets above 70* my kids are ready to whip out the swimsuits. One of their favorite ways to cool off is to put the sprinkler under the trampoline. Addy even got in on the action, which is pretty amazing since she is afraid of getting wet because "it hurts". We are all looking forward to the lazy days of Summer.





Of course Ella was too busy to hold still for a picture. Even though the picture is blurry I think it really captures this funny little 2 year old.
