Ella's Broken Heart

Tonight John and I were looking at pictures of our old house. Our conversation went like this:

John: Oh man, look at that lush grass.
Me: Looking at these pictures makes me sad. I feel like there is a pit in my stomach.
Ella: My heart is broken

Funny girl, we didn't know she had feelings for the old homestead.

Well hello there

Just a quick note to let you know that we are still alive and kickin' it in Washington. Our plane for NC leaves Tuesday so please pray for us as we fly the friendly skies with 4 kids for 6 plus hours. (or maybe you should be praying for our fellow passengers!) Our internet should be hooked up on Thursday, so be prepared for a gagillion pictures.

See you on the other side!

Please forgive me

I think it's hitting me. You are going to have to bear with me for the next few months as I eulogize my house and everything good that WA was and is. Building this house was A LOT of hard work and stressful at times, but looking at pictures tonight just made me sad. It's amazing how fast the direction you want for your life can change. Changes (even welcomed ones) are still so very hard.

I'm not even going to touch the leaving family/ friends issue. Yikes, way too sad.

Moving on...

I didn't think I would have to blog about this at all, but things have happened, and our lives are in for a big change.

After much, much, much thought and you know a ton of prayers, we decided to put our house on the market. It went on MLS on May 2 and we received an offer on May 17. Can you say FAST!! In a buyers, not sellers market, our home sold in 2 weeks. I didn't think it was going to happen, let alone this fast. In a good market a house with our asking price range typically sits for months. I guess it was really supposed to happen. What does this mean....

We're packing up the rain gear and trading it in for sunblock. Now we get to decide where we want to move.

North Carolina

Boise, Id

Our house closes on July 1, so we need to make a decision fast!

So pretty much that is what is going on in our lives. Talk about major change. It's going to be very hard, but we know it is what we need to do.
