All better

Everything went well yesterday. Addy is now cavity free and has no recollection of x-rays, shots and drills. She was VERY apprehensive during the pre-op, I mean screaming and tears and the whole nine yards. Luckily for her (and me!) John was there and held her. Once the happy juice kicked in she calmed way down. After everything was done we found her relaxing in bed, eating fishy crackers and watching TV with a firm grip on the remote. Needless to say she did NOT want to leave.

Trend Setter?

This is what happens when you let your 4 year old pick out shoes. We were just about to leave for a bike ride around the neighborhood. I didn't make her change, because it's really cute. Besides when else in your life is it okay to wear cowboy boots (on the wrong feet) with capri sweats?

Sisters

Today I took the little girls to the park and they had so much fun. The weather was perfect and although the park was crowded, Addy and Ella totally enjoyed themselves. They spent 45 minutes playing with each other. They are lucky to have each other...not only are they sisters, but best friends.

Conversations with Addy take 2

Today while driving in the car:

Addy: Mom look at that cute little puppy, I just love that little puppy. I want a puppy at our house.

Me: (looking over at the HUGE German Shepherd in the back of a truck) That is a big dog Addy, if we had it at our house he would jump all over you.

Addy: Mom, I'm not a trampoline, the puppy would jump on the trampoline not me.

Conversations with Addy...

Me: Lets practice writing your name.

Addy: okay

Me: What letter is that (pointing to the A)

Addy: I don't know. Is it the mommy?

Me: No. It's an A. A for Addy. Let's write your name together.

Addy: Where are the baby letters? The letters need a baby. Draw a mommy letter with the baby letter.

Me: (writing Aa)

Addy: The baby needs arms and the mommy needs a husband. Where are the other babies? They want to play and dance. The Mommies need their prince. Is the prince on a horse? Are the mommies going to wear long dresses and crowns? Do they live in a castle together? Let's make the castle so the letters can live there.

Me: Do you want to go watch TV?

Addy: Okay

Those eyes....

I was taking pictures at church today and little Addy wanted in on the action. I'm not sure if you can tell but her eyes are two different colors. Her right one has more of a greenish tint while the left one is more blue. I love this about her and I hope the colors don't change.

30 tiny moments

I saw this on www.kerflop.com and thought it was a great idea.  So often we get caught up in the nitty gritty of momhood, that we forget to stop and appreciate the "tiny moments."  So for 30 days I am going to post my tiny moments.

Curly heads

I thought it would be so fun the curl the girls hair for church.  Addy had a hard time sleeping with the curlers, but Ella didn't mind at all.  The end result is adorable!  You can tell that Addy felt so pretty with her curly hair.
